Internet blackout day - January 18th 2012

January 18, 2012 -- Webmaster
Last modified on August 2014

Today many websites will go down as a protest against SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) and PIPA (Protect IP Act).

Although stopping piracy may seem a good thing, SOPA/PIPA is planing to go much beyond that and build a censorship firewall. This is like forbidding the use of pens and paper because they could be used to write malicious messages.

We cannot let the interest of big corporations be more important than the freedom of our society.

Idilix.net is joining the protest against SOPA/PIPA and the site will be unavailable today. Remember that the blackout could be definitive if these laws are approved!
